About the position

Liberty Roofing Center is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Gloucester City, NJ. As a leader in the sales and delivery of roofing shingles and building materials, we pride ourselves on our values of quality, integrity, and trustworthiness. This position is ideal for aggressive sales representatives with a hunter mentality who are self-motivated to achieve and exceed their sales goals. The role is heavily focused on new business development, requiring the representative to manage territory activities to achieve sales and market share growth while providing excellent customer service to clients in the area. In this role, you will be responsible for selling new prospects IKO Shingles and related residential roofing accessories, developing contractors within the area, and organizing a business plan to meet territory sales goals. You will also be tasked with creating and maintaining a sales pipeline using CRM software, meeting regularly with the Branch Manager to review your pipeline and market strategy, and increasing year-over-year product and sales market share in your territory. Additionally, you will present products and programs to qualified contractors and builders, perform product knowledge training and demo sessions, and follow up on customer inquiries in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of outside sales experience or 3-5 years of inside sales experience, preferably in the building products industry. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills are essential, along with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required, as well as strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office products. Candidates must also successfully pass a background and credit check.

Responsibilities

  • Sell new prospects IKO Shingles and related IKO residential roofing accessories
  • Develop IKO Shield and IKO Shield Pro + contractors within the area
  • Organize and execute a business plan to meet territory sales goals and customer needs
  • Develop new customers and grow existing customers
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a sales pipeline (CRM)
  • Meet with Branch Manager on a regular basis to review pipeline and market strategy
  • Increase YOY product / sales market share in territory
  • Present products and programs to qualified contractors and builders on a weekly basis
  • Perform product knowledge training and demo sessions with customers
  • Follow up on inquiries from customers or Liberty administration in a timely fashion
  • Develop new business opportunities through cold calls and lead generation
  • Attend meetings, functions and company provided training as required
  • Investigate product quality complaints in territory
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • 2 years outside sales experience or 3-5 years inside sales experience ready to transition to outside sales
  • Prior sales experience in the building products industry preferred
  • Sales experience contacting roofing contractors, builders, and/or architects is preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Good driving record with valid driver's license
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Must successfully pass a background and credit check
