About the position

Critter Control, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our team as a Wildlife Sales Consultant. This role is ideal for individuals who possess exceptional communication and customer service skills and are eager to build relationships while providing effective solutions to our clients. As a leader in wildlife management services, Critter Control has been serving residential and commercial properties since 1984, focusing on humane and environmentally conscious methods to address animal-related issues. In this position, you will be responsible for growing sales and generating new accounts within your assigned territory. You will respond to provided leads and actively seek out new business opportunities. Your daily duties will include creating and following a service schedule, ensuring timely arrivals at customer locations, and serving as a problem solver by utilizing the in-depth training provided. You will create, present, and submit sales proposals while also collecting payments in a timely manner. Additionally, you will provide technical and logistical assistance to field personnel, perform quality control visits, and follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction with our services. To thrive in this role, you should hold yourself to high standards, enjoy building relationships, and be skilled at generating leads through networking and cold calling. Time management skills and a customer-first approach are essential, as is a tenacious attitude towards closing sales. This position offers a highly competitive compensation package, including a base salary plus uncapped commission, with estimated annual earnings between $80,000 to $100,000. You will also receive a company vehicle, cell phone, tablet, and comprehensive training programs as part of your onboarding process. Responsibilities

  • Grow sales and generate new accounts in assigned territories by responding to provided leads and uncovering new business opportunities.
  • Create and follow a service schedule within an assigned territory, ensuring safe and timely arrival at each customer's location.
  • Serve as a problem solver for customers by utilizing in-depth training to decide on the most efficient and best overall solution for each customer's needs.
  • Create, present, and submit sales proposals and collect owed money in a timely fashion.
  • Provide technical and logistical assistance to field personnel as necessary/requested.
  • Perform quality control visits and follow-up with customers to ensure satisfactory service.
  • Develop relationships with customers, sister companies, and external businesses that lead to the creation of new sales opportunities.
  • Lead with a safety-first mindset.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Service, general labor, or construction experience is preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to use a ladder, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and access confined spaces.
