The Outside Sales Representative for Tyson is primarily responsible for engaging with key decision-makers at retail grocery stores to promote and sell our products. This role involves presenting new items for authorization, selling promotional activities, and assisting with merchandising efforts. The representative will follow monthly priorities set by business managers for each client and support various store events, including anniversary sales, demos, new store openings, and remodel expansions. In this role, the representative will visit assigned stores monthly, present new items to clients, secure orders, and promote off-shelf displays. They will also review the distribution of existing items to ensure they are adequately stocked and assist with any merchandising needs. The representative will maintain current knowledge of products, build rapport with regional managers, and keep all stakeholders informed about store issues, competitive activities, and market trends. Responsibilities also include maintaining full distribution and display of products, rotating stock, cleaning displays, and performing miscellaneous duties such as pallet jack operation and material handling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grocery retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG) and be able to lift up to 30 pounds. They must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to work in cold conditions, such as refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores. Effective communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to marketing trends are essential for success in this position.
