About the position

Spherion is seeking an energetic and outgoing Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in the Port St. Lucie area. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales, particularly in the Plumbing, HVAC, PVF, or underground cable markets. We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in delivering presentations and closing sales but also possesses excellent organizational and communication skills. In this role, you will work closely with potential clients to offer tailored solutions that address their specific needs. Your primary responsibility will be to increase sales by actively seeking orders from both current and potential customers. You will provide quotes, product specifications, and other necessary data to facilitate the sales process. Collaboration with inside sales and counter sales personnel is essential to ensure a seamless customer experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective presentation skills to influence and communicate with customers, showcasing a thorough knowledge of product lines, pricing, lead times, and other relevant data. Responsibilities

  • Work with customers and potential clients to offer solutions and address their needs.
  • Increase sales by actively seeking orders from current and potential customers.
  • Provide quotes, product specifications, and other data as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with inside sales and counter sales personnel.
  • Demonstrate effective presentation skills to influence and communicate with customers.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of product lines, prices, lead times, and other similar data.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience with proven closing skills.
  • Knowledge of Plumbing, PVF, and/or Utility markets.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to calculate discounts, proportions, and percentages.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Epicor Eclipse experience is a plus.
  • College degree preferred.
