About the position

As an Outside Sales Representative at MATHESON, you will play a crucial role in establishing new accounts and maintaining existing sales of cylinder gases, welding equipment, safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) products throughout your assigned protected territory. This position is designed for a motivated individual who thrives in a sales environment and is eager to contribute to the growth of the company. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that align with MATHESON's goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential customers, conducting sales presentations, and negotiating contracts. You will also be expected to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies. The role requires a strong understanding of profit margins and effective quoting, as well as the ability to present professionally to various stakeholders. MATHESON provides comprehensive training to support your success in this role, along with a protected sales territory and uncapped commission potential. In addition to your sales responsibilities, you will collaborate with the Regional General Manager to align your sales efforts with the overall business strategy. This position offers a competitive salary starting from $80,000 per year, along with a car allowance and paid mileage. Responsibilities

  • Establish new accounts and maintain existing sales of cylinder gases and welding equipment.
  • Sell safety and PPE products throughout the assigned protected territory.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Conduct sales presentations and negotiate contracts with customers.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Regional General Manager to align sales efforts with business strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in industrial gases, propane, welding supplies, or safety supplies.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record in sales development and account management.
  • Strong understanding of profit margins and effective quoting.
  • Professional presentation experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical skills.
