About the position

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team located in Santa Clara, CA. This role is pivotal in generating sales within an assigned territory of existing and new accounts. The Outside Sales Representative will be accountable for achieving sales quotas by actively hunting for new customers while also nurturing and growing existing relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales, preferably with 5-7 years of experience, and a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. The position requires a proven track record of sales success and familiarity with a defined sales process. Candidates must also have a clean driving record, with no DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years. In this role, the Outside Sales Representative will promote sales and provide account service to both assigned and potential customers. The focus will be on meeting sales quotas, developing new business, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Responsibilities include contacting existing accounts, cold calling potential targets, and improving the profitability of existing accounts by fully understanding the value propositions offered by Linde. The representative will also support and implement marketing plans, promotions, and new product launches, while securing long-term relationships through negotiating product supply agreements. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for providing complete and accurate account set-up and pricing data, maintaining a list of target accounts, generating and qualifying new business leads, conducting competitive intelligence, and demonstrating products to new account customers. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of Outside Sales experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Prior sales success
  • Defined sales process knowledge
  • No DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Industrial Gas sales (1 year preferred)
  • Ability to relocate to Santa Clara, CA before starting work
