About the position

Johnstone Supply is seeking a motivated and driven individual to join our Outside Sales Team in Woburn, MA. This position offers an exciting opportunity for limitless earning potential and the chance to make a significant impact in the HVAC industry. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new leads through prospecting and cold calling potential clients. You will conduct on-site visits to assess clients' HVAC needs and provide product demonstrations to showcase our offerings. Your role will involve preparing and delivering customized sales proposals and quotes based on client requirements, as well as negotiating pricing and contractual agreements to close sales deals. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution. Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments will be essential for your success. You will also have the opportunity to attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand your professional network and identify new business opportunities. Achieving and exceeding sales targets and quotas set by the organization will be a primary focus, and you will develop trusted business advisor relationships with your customers. In addition to sales responsibilities, you will assist customers with technical questions related to HVAC products and maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM software. General administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and correspondence will also be part of your responsibilities. This role requires a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and cold call potential clients to generate new leads
  • Conduct on-site visits and assessments to evaluate clients' HVAC needs
  • Provide product demonstrations and presentations to showcase HVAC products and services
  • Prepare and deliver customized sales proposals and quotes based on client requirements
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements with the clients to close sales deals
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand professional network and identify business opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas set by the organization
  • Work with customers to plan and forecast sales
  • Develop a trusted business advisor relationship with customers
  • Assist customers with technical questions or issues related to HVAC products
  • Refer complex technical inquiries to TSA
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends using CRM software
  • Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and phone/email correspondence

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers and different software programs
  • Must be able to bend, stand, reach, pull, lift, and carry items up to 75 pounds
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Consistently work to promote company growth
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
