About the position

The Outside Sales Representative at Advatix, Inc. plays a crucial role in driving sales within the manufacturing environment. This position is focused on ensuring that sales consistently meet or exceed established goals. The representative will work closely with existing active clients, reestablish productive relationships with both existing and inactive clients, and identify and close sales opportunities with new clients. Collaboration with the existing team is essential to promote the achievement of the team's established sales goals. In this role, the Outside Sales Representative is responsible for nurturing existing manufacturing clients while actively seeking new qualified trade clients to promote financial growth. A consistent schedule of visits to manufacturing clients is necessary to recognize and maximize sales opportunities. The representative will support the leadership team in developing and executing sales goals, understanding the methodologies behind goal development and application. The position requires effective client relationship management, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining the company's status as the 'vendor of choice.' The representative will develop and execute strategies to maximize results with clients, including forecasting and analysis. Utilizing a CRM system is essential for entering client data, analyzing sales results, and identifying opportunities. The representative will also participate in industry meetings, sales events, and training to stay updated on the latest developments, conducting sessions with clients to enhance product knowledge and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal sales and service goals while supporting the Professional Sales team to reach overall sales goals.
  • Nurture existing manufacturing clients and seek new qualified trade clients to promote financial growth.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent schedule of visits to manufacturing clients to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Support the leadership team in developing and executing sales goals, understanding the goal development methodology.
  • Utilize systems to enter client data, analyze sales results, and identify opportunities.
  • Communicate consistently with clients to ensure satisfaction and maintain 'vendor of choice' status.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize results with clients, including forecasting and analysis.
  • Research to become a subject matter expert relevant to clientele needs.
  • Fully utilize CRM systems to maximize personal sales and support the Pro Sales team's results.
  • Communicate client requests effectively to the appropriate departments.
  • Attend and participate in industry meetings, sales events, and training to stay updated on developments.
  • Conduct sessions/events with clients, including product knowledge training and public relations events.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in cold-calling sales with a strong track record of success.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly selling pipes, welding rods, fittings, valves, and safety equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with CRM and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Clean Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is preferred.
  • Safety equipment experience is a plus.
