If you are a motivated individual with a passion for sales and a drive to succeed, we want to hear from you! Join our team as an Outside Sales Representative and take your career to new heights. We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive training, and opportunities for career advancement to be part of our dynamic sales team! The purpose of this role is to demonstrate in-depth knowledge, experience, and skills to effectively represent the company with the largest or most complex customers. You will understand customer needs and identify products and services to meet these requirements. Additionally, you will participate in a leadership role, helping train and develop less experienced sales staff members, and may also act as Sales Manager during their absence. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will represent the company during the sales process by collecting data on customer needs and design specifications, acting as a liaison between inside technical/design staff and customers in developing sales proposals. You will possess the experience and knowledge to handle complex or highly specialized customer requirements effectively. Your responsibilities will include developing sales contracts for a wide range of projects, including residential, multi-family, and commercial, by collecting specification information from the client's engineer or architect of record and conveying needs and changes to technical staff and management. You will troubleshoot field issues that may be difficult to resolve or complex, effectively plan and conduct sales presentations for current and prospective customers, and design professional demonstrations or presentations of company products and services, clarifying how we can meet their specific needs. You will also research, identify, and solicit new customers, generating sales opportunities through research on client needs, industry competition, and effective demonstration of the features and benefits of the company's products and services. Continuously updating customers on products and services and providing explanations of how these products and services meet current or future customer requirements will be part of your role. You will participate in a leadership role, such as chairing meetings, acting in the Sales Manager's capacity during his/her absence, and helping train and develop less experienced sales staff members. As required, you will prepare recurring and special reports, forms, or other documentation for management, enhancing your knowledge of sales techniques and expanding product and industry knowledge by attending company-sponsored training programs. You may serve as a presenter at training programs to assist in the development of less experienced Outside Sales Reps. Planning and pacing your own work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, project, or team-related productivity goals is essential, as is understanding and observing all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to yourself or coworkers. You may recommend changes to improve safety procedures and carry out other duties as assigned.
