About the position

Watermark Specialty Foods is excited to add to our growing company! We are looking for a friendly results-driven External Sales Representative to join our team. This position is crucial for developing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prospecting and acquiring new customers through various channels including networking, phone calls, and emails. You will create and implement strategic sales plans aimed at achieving company objectives and driving sales revenue. In this role, you will identify and build on key growth segments within the food industry to expand our market presence. Educating customers on the features, benefits, and applications of our food products will be a significant part of your responsibilities. You will also address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that customer needs are understood and met with appropriate product recommendations to facilitate a smooth buying process. Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions is essential, and you will be expected to review and present sales data using database reports, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Analyzing sales data to identify trends and making customer recommendations will also be part of your duties. Regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates will need to be provided to management for review, ensuring that the company stays informed about sales performance and market dynamics.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of food products, ingredients, and industry trends
