About the position

As an Outside Sales Representative at First American Home Warranty, you will play a crucial role in developing and retaining a quality client base that includes Real Estate Agents, Brokers, Lenders, Builders, Agents, Attorneys, and others. Your primary responsibility will be to acquire new business while maintaining and nurturing existing customer relationships. This position requires you to interface with division management, branch managers, and escrow staff to effectively carry out your duties. You will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, which includes order placement, shipping, billing, customer payment, and follow-up for future business opportunities. In this role, you will build strong client relationships, secure new orders from new customers, and expand business with your existing client base. You will proactively communicate with clients and respond to their needs in a timely manner. Your ability to compile lists of prospective customers from various sources, such as newspapers, business directories, and trade shows, will be essential in generating sales leads. You will also develop and execute a call plan for your assigned area, which includes making calls and setting appointments with qualified real estate agents, brokers, lenders, and attorneys. Your success will depend on your ability to assess individual client needs and develop, present, and implement tailored plans to meet those needs. Being highly visible in your marketing area by attending real estate industry functions and participating in community events will be key to your success. You will also be responsible for displaying or demonstrating products, using samples or catalogs, and emphasizing their salable features. Additionally, you will create and deliver group and individual presentations to customer groups, target customers, and cooperating agents.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 4 years of successful commercial Title/Real estate industry experience
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to listen to customers and understand their needs and objectives
  • Demonstrates persistence, tenacity, and consistency in pursuing revenue opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt strategy to changing conditions
  • Understanding of market and competition with the ability to identify external threats and opportunities
  • Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
