About the position

Lansing Building Products is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team in King of Prussia, PA. The Outside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in promoting and selling Lansing's products and services, making 8-12 sales appointments daily with established and prospective customers. This position requires a proactive approach to increase sales and profit margins within a designated geographic territory, while also developing the growth of the branch through consistent new business acquisition in the B2B sales of siding, windows, and other exterior building products. The representative will be responsible for cultivating and managing customer relationships, addressing and resolving customer complaints, and educating customers on our products and services to help them enhance their business and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Live our mission statement
  • Promote and sell Lansing's products and services
  • Make 8-12 sales appointments daily between established and prospective customers
  • Increase sales and profit margins within a geographic territory
  • Develop the growth of the branch by consistently securing new business through business-to-business (B2B) sales of siding, windows, and other exterior building products
  • Cultivate and manage customer relationships
  • Assist and correct customer complaints
  • Educate customers on Lansing's products and services
  • Help customers increase business while improving their profits

Requirements

  • Prior B2B outside sales experience in the building products, construction, or wholesale industry (preferred)
  • Strong customer service, communication, and social skills
  • All-around business professional with exceptional telephone etiquette
  • Ability to work individually and on a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Commitment to setting and achieving goals
  • History of strong ethics and high integrity
