About the position

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for introducing and selling products and services to both new and established customers while servicing existing accounts. This role requires a proactive approach, characterized by a hunter mentality, to identify, contact, and qualify new prospects through cold calls and other interactions. The representative must meet revenue quotas, maintain customer data in the CRM database, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce and sell products and services to new and established customers.
  • Make cold calls both in person and over the phone.
  • Identify, contact, and qualify new prospects.
  • Respond to customer calls and track existing quotes.
  • Assist with project execution tasks such as answering questions about administration, delivery, or invoicing.
  • Meet assigned revenue quotas.
  • Prepare and submit activity reports and forecasts as requested.
  • Update and maintain the CRM database with customer account information and sales activities.
  • Maintain all prospective customer data in the CRM database.
  • Communicate frequently with customers and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Participate in safety meetings and communicate any concerns or violations.
  • Drive a continuous improvement strategy within the business.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated sales professional with a customer service attitude.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Competence in performing cold calls and prospecting.
  • Advanced networking and relationship development skills.
  • Comfortable with Consultative and/or Enterprise Sales Techniques.
  • Ability to forecast and manage various opportunities simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess decision-making, problem-resolution, and creative thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with CRM software.
