About the position

Titan Florida, a subsidiary of Titan America LLC, is seeking a skilled and motivated Outside Sales Representative - Concrete for the Bradenton, FL / Southwest FL area. This full-time, salary-exempt position will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager. The primary responsibilities of this role include selling ready mix concrete and concrete block, developing and maintaining market intelligence, and building strong customer relationships both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will be technically oriented, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and have a desire to achieve results. This position requires a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record for the past seven years. In this role, the Outside Sales Representative will demonstrate a commitment to safety policies in all work environments. They will plan and schedule visits to existing accounts in their assigned territory, suggest products for orders, and facilitate problem resolution. The representative will prepare action plans to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made, while also following up on new leads and referrals from field activity. Additionally, they will oversee account services through quality checks and follow-ups, addressing and resolving customer service inquiries and complaints. The successful candidate will prepare various status reports, including trends in the territory, upcoming events, and adherence to goals. They will also be responsible for maintaining rapport with accounts and client publishers to ensure positive business relationships. Responsibilities

  • Sell ready mix concrete and concrete block.
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain market intelligence.
  • Network, build, and maintain customer relationships internally and externally.
  • Engage in promotional activities and trade association involvement.
  • Plan and schedule visits to existing accounts in assigned territory.
  • Suggest products for accounts to order and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project contacts.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Oversee new and existing account services through quality checks and follow-ups.
  • Prepare status reports on trends, events, closings, and adherence to goals.
  • Address and resolve customer service inquiries, requests, and complaints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Engineering, or Business.
  • At least 5 years of successful sales and/or business development experience in building materials.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and reasoning skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to engage in deep business discussions with customers.
  • Technically oriented and computer literate.
  • Demonstrated leadership/managerial potential.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record for the past seven years.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the construction or building materials industry.
