Laser North, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Territory Manager to join their team, working remotely from anywhere in Michigan. As a leading advanced laser cutting and fabrication business, we pride ourselves on our innovative manufacturing solutions and exceptional service. In this role, you will have a direct impact on our company's growth and success, shaping the future of our organization, our employees, and the industry at large. Your contributions will be vital in driving sales and building strong customer relationships primarily in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. In this position, you will be responsible for generating leads, identifying and engaging potential customers through various communication methods. Building and maintaining long-term relationships with both new and existing customers will be crucial to ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. You will also attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful connections with existing customers. Achieving sales targets will be a key focus, which includes presenting our products and services professionally, negotiating deals, assisting with quote strategies, following up on quoted jobs, and providing sales activity reports. Additionally, you will conduct market analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions, allowing you to effectively position our offerings. Collaborating closely with our Inside Sales Staff and Business Operations will be essential to provide solutions for customers and ensure their expectations are met. Responsibilities

  • Generate leads by identifying and engaging potential customers through varied communication methods.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and connect with existing customers.
  • Achieve sales targets by presenting products and services, negotiating deals, assisting with quote strategy, and following up on quoted jobs.
  • Conduct market analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales Staff and Business Operations to provide solutions for customers and meet their expectations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a sales representative is preferred.
  • Ability to cold-call and make meaningful connections is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with public speaking and presentations.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software; experience with CRM software is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently (approximately 50%) within a designated region and to industry events.
