About the position

The Outside Sales/Territory Manager at Mueller Roofing Distributors is responsible for driving sales growth by acquiring new customers and nurturing existing relationships. This role involves meeting aggressive sales targets, promoting the full product line, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service. The position requires regular travel within a designated territory to engage with clients and support the sales team.

Responsibilities

• Achieves sales and profit objectives consistently.
• Promotes and sells the entire product line.
• Maintains relationships with existing customer accounts.
• Develops new customers and sales according to assigned goals or quotas.
• Travels throughout the designated sales territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
• Creates customer loyalty by selling value over price.
• Reads blueprints, prepares take-offs, estimates, and formal quotes.
• Follows up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address needs.
• Strives to improve sales and customer service skills continuously.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of industry products, trends, and technology.
• Assists customers with the credit application process.
• Communicates and collaborates with inside sales staff to provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in sales, business, or marketing, or three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of company's SX Enterprise software applications and MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Strong desire and commitment to sales success.
• Excellent presentation and closing skills.
• Strong product knowledge across all lines.
