The Outside Sales Territory Manager will be responsible for covering the Greater Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently to grow their market. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing existing customer accounts while also seeking new sales opportunities. The position demands a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring that clients receive quality service and reliable solutions tailored to their needs. The territory is already populated with hundreds of established accounts, providing a solid foundation for growth and success. Candidates should be familiar with the Greater Columbus area, as local knowledge will be advantageous in building relationships and understanding customer needs. Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts in the Greater Columbus area.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the territory.
  • Provide quality service and reliable solutions to customers.

  • Treat the assigned territory as a personal business, focusing on customer satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

  • Two years of demonstrated success in outside sales experience, preferably in the woodworking or industrial/distribution sector.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with the Greater Columbus, OH geography.
  • Experience selling woodworking or industrial products such as drawer slides, hinges, laminates, and hand/power tools.
