About the position

The Outside Sales Territory Representative is responsible for selling products and services to customers outside of the company's office. This role involves meeting with customers, negotiating contracts, building relationships, setting sales goals, presenting products, and maintaining records of sales activities. The representative will travel to assigned territories to engage with clients and must possess strong sales and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers in assigned territories, either in person, by phone, or virtually.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and terms with customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Set and meet sales quotas and provide sales forecasts.
  • Present products or services to potential customers at conferences and conventions.
  • Maintain sales activity reports and opportunities within the company's CRM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in sales, especially in a B2B environment.
  • Understanding of sales techniques and theory.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Proficiency with technology and equipment.
  • Self-starting personality.

Nice-to-haves
