The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is a pivotal role within Central Steel & Wire, designed for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is committed to driving new business sales growth while also focusing on the retention and expansion of existing business relationships. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, emphasizing the importance of strong customer relationship management and a keen understanding of the competitive landscape within the assigned territory. The TSM will be responsible for achieving or surpassing established corporate sales goals, which includes maintaining existing customer relationships and actively prospecting for new business opportunities within a designated geographic area. In this role, the TSM will be expected to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to engage with both existing and prospective customers. The ideal candidate will reside within the territory to ensure accessibility and responsiveness to customer needs. Key responsibilities include making sales calls aimed at increasing market share and profitability, developing and implementing strategic plans for territory growth, and coordinating sales efforts with support personnel. Additionally, the TSM will be responsible for keeping sales management informed about developments within the territory through the use of CRM systems and periodic reporting. The position demands a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, along with 2-4 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the metals or metal-related products sector. A deep understanding of Central Steel & Wire's product lines and service offerings is essential, as is the ability to effectively address customer issues and devise creative solutions that enhance customer value. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor are critical, as is the motivation to excel in a competitive environment with minimal supervision.
