About the position
The Outside Sales Specialist at SPEC Building Materials Corporation is responsible for maintaining customer relationships, growing product sales, and developing new accounts. This role requires a professional image and the ability to aggressively promote and sell the entire SPEC product line while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting for new accounts through cold calling, providing leads, and networking.
- Meeting and exceeding predetermined sales goals.
- Maintaining an existing customer base with excellent customer service.
- Understanding and advising customers on products and services offered by SPEC Building Materials.
- Maintaining good relationships with valued vendors.
- Demonstrating and practicing excellent customer service skills.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively with little supervision.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
- Two years of industry or industry-related experience in home building or remodeling is a plus.
- At least two years of outside sales experience, preferably in the building material distribution industry.
