About the position

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities and building relationships with clients in the concrete services sector. This role involves meeting with contractors, developers, homeowners, and businesses to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions, all while working independently in a field-based capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Meet with potential clients, present our concrete services, and understand their project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts tailored to each client's needs.
  • Track and report on sales activities and progress using a CRM or similar system.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets by closing deals and securing new contracts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
  • Collaborate with the project management and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an outside sales representative or similar sales role, preferably in the construction or concrete industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel within the Columbia, TN area and surrounding regions to meet clients.
  • Ability to understand construction drawings, project scopes, and pricing models.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused attitude.
