About the position

The Outside Salesperson at CENCAL Auto & Truck Parts is a full-time role focused on driving new business and nurturing existing customer relationships in the Newman and Patterson areas. This position requires a self-motivated and outgoing individual who can effectively communicate and provide excellent customer service while achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
• Work with the Store Manager to provide business planning designed to reach product and sales goals.
• Continue to improve and stay updated on product knowledge by interacting with manufacturer's representatives.
• Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; leverage parts knowledge to identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs.
• Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale.
• Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
• Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Provide periodic territory sales forecasts.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 24 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Prior automotive parts background or mechanical inclination is required.
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills (both written and verbal).
• Reliable, organized, detailed, and focused.
