Hajoca Corporation is one of the country's largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Although Hajoca is a large company, we work in a decentralized environment where each of our locations, called Profit Centers (PCs), is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typical Profit Center is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring what's special about each local marketplace. Penstan Supply is one of those trade names and is looking for an Outside Salesperson at their Indiana, PA location.

Responsibilities

  • Attract and retain customers through face-to-face meetings and site visits.
  • Work with the Profit Center Manager to establish revenue and margin targets.
  • Analyze sales reports to develop strategies for customer purchase potential and market share growth.
  • Process sales orders, bids, and job information packages in accordance with company policy.
  • Participate in sales meetings and maintain customer profile data.
  • Identify opportunities for value-added services to grow sales with existing customers.
  • Resolve customer problems and address pricing deductions and material returns.
  • Facilitate payment of accounts receivable and communicate credit risks.
  • Support Inside Sales and Profit Center activities as part of the team.
  • Join industry associations to stay informed about market conditions and trends.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ years outside sales experience, preferably in contractor sales.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Driving record must meet company criteria for Authorized Drivers.
  • Extensive knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center.
  • Preferred experience in plumbing/HVAC.
