About the position

The Outside Salesperson at Hajoca Corporation is responsible for attracting and retaining customers through proactive engagement and relationship-building. This role involves conducting face-to-face meetings, analyzing sales data, processing orders, and collaborating with the Profit Center Manager to achieve revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a consultative approach to customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Attract and retain customers through face-to-face meetings and site visits.
  • Work with the Profit Center Manager to establish revenue and margin targets.
  • Analyze sales reports to develop strategies for customer engagement and market growth.
  • Process sales orders and perform all sales functions in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in sales meetings and maintain customer profile data.
  • Identify opportunities for value-added services to grow sales with existing customers.
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure satisfaction with timely follow-up.
  • Facilitate payment of accounts receivable and communicate credit risks.
  • Support Inside Sales and Profit Center activities as part of the team.
  • Join industry associations to stay informed about market trends and technologies.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training programs.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in contractor sales.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company criteria.
  • Extensive knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) for communication and data analysis.
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with customers and vendors.
  • Strong product knowledge to answer customer inquiries and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Consultative mindset to understand customer goals and provide tailored solutions.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills to persuade and influence customers.
  • Self-directed with effective planning and organization skills for sales calls.
  • Ability to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment and computer systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the plumbing, heating, or cooling industry.
  • Familiarity with sales order processing systems.
