About the position

The Outside Salesperson at Hajoca Corporation is responsible for attracting and retaining customers through proactive engagement and relationship building. This role involves conducting face-to-face meetings, analyzing sales data, processing orders, and collaborating with the Profit Center Manager to achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a consultative approach to sales, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Attract and retain customers through face-to-face meetings and site visits.
  • Work with the Profit Center Manager to establish revenue and margin targets.
  • Analyze sales reports to develop strategies for market share growth.
  • Process sales orders, bids, and job information packages according to company policies.
  • Participate in sales meetings and maintain customer profile data.
  • Identify opportunities for value-added services to grow sales with existing customers.
  • Resolve customer issues and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Facilitate payment of accounts receivable with customers and management.
  • Support Inside Sales and Profit Center activities as part of the team.
  • Join industry associations to stay informed about market trends and technologies.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training programs.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in contractor sales.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company criteria.
  • Extensive knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with customers and vendors.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Self-directed with effective planning and organization skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in upselling or cross-selling products.
  • Ability to operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with computer systems used for order processing.
