About the position

The Outsourced Accounting Solutions Tech Transformation Manager at CBIZ is responsible for leading the implementation and optimization of cloud-based finance and accounting software solutions. This role involves assessing current accounting processes, providing support for technology administration, managing project timelines and budgets, and building relationships with client-facing teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle accounting and project management, with a focus on delivering high-volume implementation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with CAS teams to collect data and identify inefficiencies in accounting processes.
  • Assess current tech stack design and recommend optimizations for accounting processes.
  • Provide support and administration for cloud-based accounting solutions, including account setups and troubleshooting.
  • Create help documentation for common support questions.
  • Participate in annual CAS technology training and create training materials.
  • Develop project plans for data migration and technology implementation.
  • Identify potential roadblocks and manage out-of-scope requests.
  • Track and report on key implementation metrics.
  • Document standard processes and procedures.
  • Create and manage project budgets, resources, and timelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software solutions related to close management and accounting workflow solutions.
  • Proficiency in back-office accounting technology and troubleshooting applications.
  • Project management experience with relevant tools.
  • Hands-on experience with high-volume accounting solution implementations and third-party app integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data.
  • Ability to provide alternative solutions and create business and technical requirements documentation.
  • Expertise in project delivery approaches and managing project scope, plans, and deliverables.
  • Experience conducting test case evaluations and static testing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience creating training documentation and rolling out new processes.
