The Outsourced Controller at Bowers CPAs & Advisors is a senior-level position responsible for providing comprehensive accounting services to clients, including financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning. This role involves overseeing outsourced accounting staff, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and maintaining strong client relationships. The position is integral to the Client Accounting and Advisory Services department, focusing on delivering high-quality financial solutions to private and closely held businesses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage responsibilities of assigned outsourced accounting staff.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all transaction processing performed by staff.
• Perform monthly accounting reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts for assigned clients.
• Manage month-end close for assigned clients.
• Prepare and analyze financial reporting.
• Assist in preparing proposals for Client Accounting & Advisory Services.
• Participate in client networking events.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Accounting.
• 5 years experience in Client Accounting Services/Consulting with an accounting firm.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• 5 years' experience with budgets, financial modeling and accounting transactions.
• Client facing experience with the ability to travel and support local clients.
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communicator.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Able to manage priorities and workflow.
