About the position

NWI Aerostructures is seeking Ovens/Autoclave Operators to join their team in Nashville, TN. The role involves setting up and operating autoclaves and ovens to cure and bond aircraft parts, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety protocols. Operators will be responsible for monitoring equipment, maintaining records, and collaborating with team members to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate autoclaves and auxiliary equipment to cure and bond aircraft parts.
• Read and interpret shop orders and authorization documents to determine bonding process specifications.
• Select parts and assemblies for simultaneous bonding based on processing requirements and autoclave capacity.
• Arrange jigs and fixtures containing parts on bonding racks and position them in the autoclave.
• Inspect conditions of parts and assemblies and verify vacuum bag installation conforms to specifications.
• Connect thermocouples and vacuum lines to fittings on jigs and fixtures.
• Adjust controls or enter commands in computerized control panel to regulate autoclave operations.
• Monitor instruments and listen for warning signals during autoclave operation.
• Maintain manual or computerized autoclave processor records.
• Operate curing ovens and presses to bond parts.
• Discuss loading and operation of equipment with co-workers to ensure safety.

Requirements

• One year of aircraft assembly or general manufacturing experience, or completion of a company-approved training program.
