About the position

The General Maintenance Technician (GMT) plays a crucial role in supporting both internal and external client needs by performing manual labor related to facility projects. This position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and effective communication while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Build integrity, honesty, and trust with stakeholders, clients, and employees.
• Establish and maintain rapport and strong working relationships with co-workers and client representatives.
• Comply with all guidelines, policies, and procedures established by CCI Industrial Services and clients.
• Ensure safety standards and accountability in all areas of mandatory/regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance with required HSE training and ensure all work is properly permitted.
• Report and address all potential safety concerns promptly and participate in safety investigations.
• Document and record any injury or near miss incidents that occur while working.
• Communicate daily status of current projects to Facility Operations and the O&M Superintendent.
• Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings, exercises, and drills.
• Assist others on special project needs when appropriate.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools and vehicles in adverse conditions.
• Participate in START card, Tool Box Talk (TBT), and pre and post project meetings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to clearly speak, write, read, and understand the English language.
• Knowledge and experience with hand and power tools.
• NSTC Certification.
• Ability to follow safety programs and regulatory requirements related to the position.
• Ability to prepare reports and correspondence as required.
• Ability to plan and organize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive rapport with co-workers and client representatives.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Oil & Gas Facility Operations with knowledge of production systems and equipment.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Familiarity with Greater Prudhoe Bay facilities.
