About the position

The Overhead Door Technician position at Dan's Overhead Doors involves installing and servicing various types of overhead doors and door openers. The role requires a strong work ethic, technical skills, and the ability to perform repairs and installations in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Technicians will be responsible for service repair calls, ensuring vehicles are stocked with necessary parts, and adhering to safety protocols while working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate power tools and equipment effectively.
• Repair components of overhead doors and openers.
• Install various types of residential, commercial, and industrial doors and door openers.
• Install dock equipment in various work environments.
• Load vehicles and secure loads prior to leaving the warehouse.
• Ensure vehicles are stocked with the necessary parts and tools for daily tasks.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of electrical components.
• Ability to climb ladders and handle heavy lifting daily.
• Good organizational skills and dependability.
• Possess a clean and valid driver's license.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and good communication skills.
• Team player with a problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in welding (preferred).
• Previous experience in the construction industry preferred.
