About the position

The Assistant Account Manager at Southern Cleaning Company Inc (SCSI) serves as the primary point of contact for a specified shift, ensuring that client expectations are met and that operations run smoothly. This role involves daily communication with the Area Manager and Building Manager, addressing client complaints, training new hires, and overseeing cleaning operations while maintaining a positive workplace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates daily with Area Manager to ensure client expectations are being met and to obtain special instructions.
  • Works to resolve client complaints and follows up to ensure timely corrections.
  • Assists with new hire training and onboarding, ensuring team assimilation.
  • Responsible for all cleaning tasks while on duty.
  • Ensures employees are in proper attire and enforces company rules of conduct.
  • Reports supply shortages to the Area Manager.
  • Addresses disciplinary issues in collaboration with the Manager.
  • Learns to operate various motorized equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Leads by example and works effectively with diverse teams.
  • Trains and develops others in cleaning tasks across various areas.

Requirements

  • 1 year of supervisory or lead experience in commercial cleaning, distribution, warehouse, or direct service industries.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day with breaks.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
  • Flexibility to adjust plans based on customer demands.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
