About the position

The Overnight Facility Residential Staff Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the documentation and administrative reporting duties related to facility records, ensuring compliance with all New Haven and Community Care Licensing policies and procedures. This position is essential in representing core program practices and standards, supporting behavioral objectives, and guiding the team to create a safe, positive, and effective environment that proactively addresses the needs and crises of the youth in care. The Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining a therapeutic and counseling environment, which includes supervising youth, applying positive discipline, and utilizing appropriate professional boundaries, behavior modification techniques, and crisis intervention strategies effectively. In this role, the Facility Manager assists in the implementation of program schedules in accordance with established standards and oversees the Milieu Treatment Program components, ensuring that individualized treatment plans are executed and monitored as per program guidelines. The manager is expected to observe and respond promptly to behavioral issues, adhere to safety standards, and promote appropriate living habits among residents. Active listening and problem-solving skills are essential to provide a secure and positive environment for each resident. Additionally, the Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining and updating house supplies, office equipment, petty cash, logs, and reports in compliance with licensing and organizational standards. This includes ensuring that house procedures and property, including vehicles, are documented according to New Haven organizational standards and Continuous Quality Improvement protocols. The manager will also support Program Specialists in ensuring that houses meet licensing standards and HIPAA requirements by conducting regular audits and reporting findings. Participation in facility house meetings and attendance at all required staff meetings and agency trainings is mandatory, demonstrating mastery of training materials and maintaining all required certifications. The position requires working overnight shifts from 11:30 PM to 9:00 AM, four nights a week, specifically from Sunday to Thursday. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
