About The Position

The Overnight Care Pro position involves providing compassionate and reliable overnight care for a client with dementia who is at risk of falling. The role requires continuous supervision and assistance with toileting throughout the night, ensuring the client's safety and well-being while remaining awake during the shift. The caregiver will collaborate with other staff to deliver cohesive care and uphold the resident's rights.

Requirements

• Experience in dementia care or working within assisted living environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of caregiving principles and resident rights.
• Familiarity with systems used for documentation and reporting in a caregiving setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with client and his family.
• Physical capability to assist client as needed while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• TB Results and/or Chest X-Ray within 1 year.
• CPR / BLS certification required.
• Reliable transportation and must live within 15 miles.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month to maintain active status.
• 2 years of home care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client throughout the night to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Assist with mobility needs, including assistance going to and from the bathroom.
• Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy and dignity at all times.
• Collaborate with other caregiving staff to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
