About the position
The Overnight Cleaner at Planet Fitness is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for members and guests. This role is crucial in upholding the Planet Fitness brand standards and enhancing the overall member experience. The position requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service while performing cleaning duties during the overnight shift.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all common areas including restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the Black Card Spa according to Planet Fitness cleaning standards.
- Vacuum floor surfaces and operate the floor scrubber machine according to an established schedule.
- Properly dispose of trash and maintain the trash cans and cleaning centers.
- Replenish supplies and paper products as needed and communicate inventory needs to the Club Manager.
- Clean and dust items high off the ground such as ceiling fans, TVs, and rafters.
- Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
- Operate washing machine and dryer and maintain cleaning equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to work the overnight shift.
- Cleaning and sanitizing experience is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Willingness to become CPR/AED Certified (Training provided by Planet Fitness).
- Basic computer proficiency.
