Overnight Concierge/Receptionist

About the position

The Overnight Concierge/Receptionist at Glenbrooke Senior Living is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors. This part-time role involves administrative support, customer service, and ensuring a positive experience for all who enter the community. The position emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a commitment to high-quality service, aligning with the core values of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Courteously greeting visitors and directing them appropriately.
• Efficiently processing incoming and outgoing calls.
• Filing and copying documents as needed.
• Typing correspondence, written communication, and reports from hard copy as needed.
• Maintaining the lobby Hospitality Station as needed.
• Ensuring all visitors and residents utilize the Sign-In/Sign-Out log system.
• Maintaining Sign-in/Sign-Out logs.
• Assisting and distributing mail.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy lobby area.
• Performing other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of copier, fax machine, and printers.
• Ability to operate a switchboard and previous experience with a multi-line system.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard office equipment.
• Basic typing skills and familiarity with word processing software in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to coordinate well with multiple people and/or departments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a senior living environment.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia care.
