About the position
Lifesteps is hiring Caregivers / Direct Care Staff for the Washington, PA / Amity, PA area. Lifesteps, a local human service agency that has been in business for over 100 years, is immediately hiring compassionate and caring staff to work with adults who have disabilities in a residential home setting in Washington, PA. Specific job address will be provided upon job offer. Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) assist adult individuals with their daily living skills and home care, such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, personal care assistance, medication administration, and goal attainment. Direct Care Staff take clients out in the community and also to doctor appointments using the Agency Vehicle. Lifesteps offers steady, full-time hours - 40 per week! Current open shifts are Overnight Shift 11 pm to 7 am. We also have flexible part-time hours. Could be a side hustle or for extra income. Call for more info. No experience necessary! Paid training provided! Experienced home health aides, residential living support staff, and direct support professionals welcome!
Responsibilities
- Assist adult individuals with daily living skills and home care
- Provide personal care assistance
- Administer medication
- Support clients in goal attainment
- Transport clients to community activities and doctor appointments using the Agency Vehicle
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a home health aide
