About the position

The Overnight Facility Residential Staff Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the documentation and administrative reporting duties related to facility records, ensuring compliance with all New Haven and Community Care Licensing policies and procedures. This position is essential in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for youth, focusing on behavioral objectives and crisis management. The Facility Manager is responsible for leading a team to create a positive atmosphere that proactively addresses the needs and crises of the residents. In this role, the manager will supervise youth, employing positive discipline and professional boundaries while effectively utilizing behavior modification and crisis intervention techniques. The manager will assist in implementing program schedules in accordance with established standards and will oversee the Milieu Treatment Program, ensuring that individualized treatment plans are executed and monitored appropriately. The Overnight Facility Residential Staff Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and updating house supplies, office equipment, and logs, ensuring compliance with licensing and organizational standards. Regular audits will be conducted to ensure that the facility meets licensing standards and HIPAA requirements. Participation in team meetings and ongoing training is essential to maintain current certifications and demonstrate mastery of required skills. The position requires working overnight shifts from 11:30 PM to 9:00 AM, four nights a week, with specific days outlined in the job description.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise youth and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment using positive discipline and appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Assist in implementing program schedules in accordance with program standards.
  • Oversee the Milieu Treatment Program and ensure individualized treatment plans are implemented and monitored.
  • Observe and respond to behavioral issues, adhering to safety standards and encouraging appropriate living habits.
  • Maintain and update house supplies, office equipment, petty cash, logs, and reports according to licensing and organizational standards.
  • Provide support to Program Specialists to ensure houses meet licensing standards and HIPAA requirements.
  • Conduct and report regular house audits.
  • Participate in facility house meetings and attend required staff meetings and trainings.

Requirements

  • Experience in a residential facility or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of behavior modification and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
