About the position
Poly-America, L.P. is currently seeking dedicated Front Gate Attendants to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX. As a leading manufacturer of polyethylene products, including high-quality trash bags and agricultural films, we pride ourselves on maintaining a secure and efficient facility. The role of a Gate Attendant is crucial in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our facility. Gate Attendants will work a structured schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off, with 12-hour shifts that rotate weekly. This position requires candidates to be available to work any day of the week, adapting to the changing schedule as needed. In this role, Gate Attendants will be responsible for monitoring employee access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter the premises. They will also be tasked with scaling shipments and deliveries, utilizing a software-based system to manage these processes effectively. Additionally, Gate Attendants will register all visitors, directing them to the appropriate departments, and will communicate with various departments to announce visitors, report issues, or respond to emergencies. As the role evolves, there may be additional responsibilities assigned by management, providing opportunities for growth and development within the company.
Responsibilities
- Monitor employee access to the facility.
- Scale shipments and deliveries and release through a software-based system.
- Register all visitors properly and ensure they are sent to the proper departments.
- Communicate with various departments to announce visitors, issues, or emergencies.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work a night shift or a day shift as assigned by management.
- Aptitude and desire to learn Poly-America procedures.
- Successfully passing a drug screen is required.
