About the position
The Overnight Level II Security Officer is responsible for providing security services at assigned locations, focusing on observing and reporting activities. This role involves conducting regular patrols, monitoring for suspicious activities, and responding to emergencies while ensuring the safety and security of the premises. The officer must maintain detailed reports and enforce site-specific policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility's interior and perimeter.
- Monitor and report all activities, including suspicious activities and persons.
- Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DAR's).
- Enforce post orders, site rules, regulations, and policies.
- Respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
- Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Identify potential safety and security risks and undesirable conditions.
- Participate in all required orientation and training programs.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of professional-level work experience preferred.
- Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, military, and/or customer service highly desired.
- Must possess a valid registration/permit/license required by the state.
- Ability to write effective, concise, and legible reports.
- Demonstrated ability to be customer service oriented and professionally interact with individuals.
Nice-to-haves
- Current or prior military experience or college education in the security field desirable.
- Experience in scheduling, operations, or other functions of the security industry a plus.
