About the position
Comprehensive Wellness Centers is seeking qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for an overnight position at our substance abuse and mental health facility. The LPN will provide direct nursing care and support to clients in various levels of care, including residential, PHP, and IOP. This role requires compassionate nurses with strong behavioral health experience who can work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments for clients.
- Work closely with Behavioral Health Technicians to provide safe and effective care.
- Provide routine nursing care to patients.
- Review medication logs for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of patients in coordination with the attending physician.
- Attend monthly staff meetings to discuss patient care and facility operations.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license to practice in the state of Florida.
- CPR Training certification.
- Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Experience in acute care, detox, and/or mental health facilities.
- Strong assessment and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize care and communicate effectively with the treatment team.
- Empathetic and understanding of patient needs.
