About the position
The Overnight Student Supervisor/Night Chaperone position at WorldStrides involves overseeing student safety and conduct during nighttime hours while they are on educational tours. This role is crucial in ensuring a secure and positive experience for students and educators, requiring active monitoring of hotel floors and effective communication with team members and program leaders.
Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned hotel floors for student misconduct during nighttime hours (9:45 PM to 5:00 AM).
- Respond to emergency situations and report suspicious activity.
- Ensure the highest level of safety for all participants while on tour.
- Maintain a professional relationship with students at all times.
- Follow proper procedures for checking in/out of the hotel and interacting with program leaders and groups.
- Present a courteous, positive, and helpful demeanor to customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
Requirements
- Availability from March-June during peak season.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical skills with knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word and Excel) and email.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with students, teachers, vendors, and staff.
- Must possess sensory skills to see, read, talk, and hear effectively.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position, including walking up and down numerous flights of stairs.
- Successful completion of applicable background screening.
