About the position

The Overnight Traveling Grocery Reset Merchandiser plays a crucial role in enhancing the sales of Corporate Brand products by executing grocery store section resets. This position involves working as part of a team to support merchandising efforts in alignment with Kroger's Corporate Brand Mission, ensuring effective product placement and addressing any supply issues. The role requires overnight travel and a commitment to customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer assistance and demonstrate knowledge of Kroger's Customer 1st Strategy.
• Direct temporary workers when needed.
• Work independently to execute category/aisle set plans.
• Demonstrate teamwork while interacting with Kroger, National Food Brokers, and other P.L. Marketing employees.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales of Kroger Corporate Brands and recommend new items and improved product placements.
• Apply strong merchandising skills and implement plan-o-grams effectively.
• Complete assigned plan-o-gram work in a timely manner and ensure sections are properly tagged.
• Work in all departments of a store as per the plan.
• Operate a CAO gun and printer safely.
• Communicate retail opportunities consistently to the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).
• Ability to read, understand, and implement plan-o-grams.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Access to a computer/internet and knowledge of email and web-based applications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Must qualify as an insurable driver with an excellent driving record.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• A smartphone with internet/data access is required.
