The oversight provider is a practicing physician who functions in an oversight capacity for the Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at the health and wellness centers of QuadMed. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest quality of clinical care by delegating tasks and overseeing their execution as deemed necessary by state regulations. The oversight provider is responsible for being available for telephone consultations, reviewing charts, completing audit reporting templates in a timely manner, cosigning pharmacy orders when applicable, and collaborating with the appropriate Medical Director to maintain high-quality standards. The time commitment for this position is minimally 2 to 4 hours per week, although state regulations may require additional time, which will be clarified at the start of employment. Key responsibilities include conducting timely quality reviews and ensuring satisfactory completion of oversight documentation on assigned APP charts in accordance with state regulations and QuadMed procedures. The oversight provider must be accessible to APPs via phone, pager, or in person during patient consultations or clinical activities to provide necessary guidance on patient care. Feedback to APPs is essential, and the oversight provider will partner with the medical director to address any quality concerns, thereby aiding in quality improvement initiatives. The role also involves reviewing and consenting to delegated tasks, maintaining confidentiality of patient and organizational information, and adhering to federal and state regulations regarding patient information protection. Additionally, the oversight provider may need to conduct site visits to meet with respective APPs as required by state regulations, which may involve travel to certain clients and health centers.
