About the position

The Owner's Project Manager at The Vertex Companies, LLC is responsible for representing the owner's interests throughout the construction project lifecycle. This role involves overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The position requires strong project management skills, effective communication with stakeholders, and a thorough understanding of construction methodologies and contract administration.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the owner's interests in all project-related matters, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cash flow projections.
  • Review and analyze construction documents, contracts, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality.
  • Manage the project risk assessment process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Review and approve contractor payment applications.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Oversee project closeout and warranty management.
  • Travel to project sites as required, both locally and regionally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in construction project management.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and budget management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry regulations.
  • Expertise in construction contract administration and risk management.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and project control systems.
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented approach with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Experience in quality control processes and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
