About the position

The Owner's Representative - Project Manager at Harlan+Associates is responsible for overseeing multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves acting as an extension of the client, managing all aspects of the project from design to construction, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders. The position requires a strong understanding of the construction process and the ability to prepare detailed project budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of multiple commercial construction projects.
• Manage design and construction meetings to ensure project alignment.
• Handle day-to-day project nuances to keep projects on track.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and schedules.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and assist with the procurement process.
• Prepare bid documents and conduct scope reviews.
• Coordinate with the executive team and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of the construction process and ability to read architectural and engineering plans.
• Experience managing large construction projects valued at $20M or more.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in estimating and construction management.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Critical Path Method Scheduling, Procore, and Bluebeam.
• Experience in coordinating subcontractor bid analysis and project scheduling.
