P.A.C.E. Officer - Part Time

About the position

The P.A.C.E. Officer is responsible for enforcing parking regulations and select City Nuisance Violations in East Lansing. This part-time role involves regular patrols to identify violations, working with property owners to ensure compliance, and documenting violations and activities. The officer may also be required to testify in court regarding violations.

Responsibilities

• Enforce parking regulations and select City Nuisance Violations.
• Patrol areas regularly to identify violations.
• Work with property owners to bring property into compliance.
• Maintain, document, and tabulate violations and activities.
• Testify in court regarding parking or code violations as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience desirable.
• Unrestricted Michigan driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to meet and deal effectively, professionally, and courteously with others.
• Resourceful, alert, and capable of exercising initiative and good judgment.
• Ability to pass a thorough police background investigation.
