About the position

The P&C Business Intelligence Analyst at Lockton, Inc. is responsible for developing and delivering business insights to decision-makers within the organization. This role involves building subject matter expertise in Property and Casualty (P&C) business data, collaborating with business leaders to understand reporting needs, and creating interactive dashboards to visualize data. The analyst will also address data quality issues and communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build subject matter expertise in Lockton's P&C business data.
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand reporting needs and create new reporting requirements.
• Build, maintain, and enhance reports, including defining business definitions and reporting transformations.
• Create interactive, visual dashboards using data.
• Recognize data quality issues and work with the data governance organization to resolve problems.
• Analyze reports and communicate insights in a consultative manner.
• Facilitate meetings and explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Deliver projects accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Insurance, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a data or analytics-related role.
• Experience building interactive reporting dashboards, preferably with MS Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, including data lineage and transformations.
• Ability to interpret a wide variety of data/information to make recommendations or decisions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
