About the position

As a P&C Product Management Manager at USAA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial security of U.S. military members and their families by managing property and casualty insurance products. This position focuses on achieving profit and growth targets in assigned states, developing strategic visions, and analyzing competitive metrics to drive innovation and best practices across the organization. You will work with large data sets to derive insights, collaborate with internal and external partners, and ensure compliance with regulations while mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical insights from large data sets to analyze state-specific P&L and marketing strategies.
  • Answer financial and customer-related questions using multiple data sources including SAS, SQL, Tableau, and R.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop insights and complete multi-year state strategies.
  • Engage with external regulators to bring strategic actions to market.
  • Analyze data with internal partners to identify growth opportunities and present key findings.
  • Build reports using data tools to monitor business performance and communicate results.
  • Identify emerging themes and trends to improve performance and minimize risk.
  • Evaluate product performance metrics and competitor actions to facilitate decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with local regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members on processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6 years of relevant product or program management experience analyzing data and developing recommendations, or an advanced degree in Business with 4 years of product or program management experience.
  • 3 years of P&C experience.
  • Experience in creating product briefings and presenting to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting product analysis and understanding market dynamics.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4 or more years of Property & Casualty experience in key functions such as Product Management, Pricing, Underwriting, or Finance.
  • Sophisticated data analytical experience with the ability to pull data and analyze trends.
  • Proficient knowledge of SAS, SQL, Tableau, or similar software.
  • Highly effective communication and salesmanship skills.
