About the position
As a Rate Quality Analyst at American National, you will be responsible for testing the accuracy of rates and premium formulas used in issuing policies. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and a problem-solving mindset. You will work in an office environment, either in Glenmont, NY or Springfield, MO, and will support the company's profitability by ensuring the accuracy of rates and premiums.
Responsibilities
- Verify rate accuracy to support company profitability.
- Maintain rate files and validate the accuracy of programs.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scenarios for policy rating.
- Utilize Excel spreadsheets to validate premiums in Policy Admin systems.
- Identify errors, defects, and system problems prior to implementation.
- Handle service requests and project tasks as part of a larger team.
- Review requirements and seek clarity to improve rate test expectations.
- Communicate and coordinate with business stakeholders in project planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Strong mathematical skills and logical processing of information.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Basic understanding of computer technology, especially Microsoft Office products like Excel.
- Time management skills.
