About the position

The Field Support Representative, also known as the Homescan Representative, plays a crucial role in the recruitment of households to participate in the Nielsen Consumer Panel. This position is remote, based in Los Angeles, California, and requires bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Spanish. The representative is responsible for maintaining an assigned number of households to ensure weekly data transmissions and the quality of information collected from various brands within the designated product categories. The role demands strict adherence to Nielsen's data collection rules and the delivery of high-quality results to management. In this position, the representative will be accountable for achieving in-person recruitment and installation goals by employing proven recruitment techniques. This includes visiting selected homes within a designated territory, particularly when there are collaboration gaps with panelists. The representative will educate panelists on the proper usage of scanners and the importance of scanning all products accurately. Additionally, the role involves recruiting statistically selected eligible homes without prior appointments, persuading households to participate, and effectively communicating the potential incentives and rewards for participation. The representative will also collaborate with various departments within Nielsen to ensure compliance with methodology and quality sampling. This includes driving to selected homes using a company-provided vehicle and GPS, and supporting other teams as needed. The role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to follow directions, and excellent teamwork and organizational skills. The representative must be willing to work various hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and be prepared to interact with households in diverse conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit households to participate in the Nielsen Consumer Panel.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

  • High School Degree or GED required; Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
